Dear President Obama, You have the opportunity to take the lead in the global effort to curb greenhouse gas emissions, and some of the best places to start are the lands and waters that you control. By stopping new federal fossil fuel leasing you can lead the world in the fight to keep more than two-thirds of the world’s fossil fuels in the ground. Time is running out, and we need bold climate action to defend against an unspeakable future. Please, for the health and safety of present and future generations, I urge you to do the right thing and end federal leasing on our lands and waters. Sincerely,
