No Poison Pills in Spending Bills!

They’re at it again. The Congressional Majority is stalling the basic functions of government to block critically important environmental rules that protect our air, water and public health.

These policy "riders" are tucked in must-pass federal regulatory agency spending bills to attempt to prevent the EPA and other important federal agencies from enforcing common-sense environmental and health standards.

Anti-environmental riders have no place in the appropriations process and the authors of these spending bills know it.

Preventing rules that require better financial bonding for mines, or stopping a rule limiting harmful methane emissions from oil and gas facilities has nothing to do with funding the government. Yet these "poison pills" are in the most recent appropriations legislation.

TAKE ACTION: Tell Congress to do its job! No anti-environmental riders in spending bills!
